Bio - Michael Brandon
Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Michael Brandon is a native of Washington, D.C., spending his time between DC and New York City working as a professional musician.
In addition to playing at Smalls Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Fat Cat NYC, Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Twins Jazz, Blues Alley and Bohemian Caverns, Michael has played in countries including Japan and France.
Michael grew up within the jazz tradition, emulating great artists Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, and John Coltrane. He has been playing with local musical heavyweights, as well as sharing the stage with McCoy Tyner, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove and most notably and frequently - legendary bassist, Butch Warren.
